Description

Crispy fried olives coated in breadcrumbs and served with a creamy garlic aioli dip. A perfect savory appetizer or snack that’s both tangy and rich in flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup green olives, drained
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the garlic aioli by mixing mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. In three separate bowls, place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Dip each olive first in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the breaded olives in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with the garlic aioli dip.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, bake the olives at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes instead of frying.
  • Feel free to add fresh herbs like parsley or thyme to the aioli for extra flavor.
