- 1/4 cup granulated sugar – Sweetens the apple fries after cooking

- 1/2 cup caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt – For dipping
Instructions
- Prep the Apples:
Peel and core the apples, then slice them into thin wedges. - Set Up Breading Stations:
In one bowl, place the flour.
In a second bowl, beat the eggs.
In a third bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. - Bread the Apple Slices:
Dredge each apple slice in flour, dip into the beaten eggs, then coat in the panko mixture. - Air Fry:
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the breaded apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. - Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
While still warm, toss the apple fries in the cinnamon sugar mixture. - Serve:
Enjoy with caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt for dipping.
Notes
- You can use any apple variety you prefer, but Granny Smith and Honeycrisp apples work especially well for their tartness and firmness.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these in the oven at 375°F for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway.
