Ingredients

Scale
  1. 8 oz bowtie pasta
  2. 1 lb ground beef
  3. 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  4. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  5. 1 cup sour cream or heavy cream
  6. 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  7. 1 cup sweet corn
  8. 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  9. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  10. Salt and black pepper, to taste
  11. 1/4 cup reserved pasta water
  12. Optional garnishes: Fresh parsley or chopped chives

Instructions

  • Cook the Bowtie Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining. Set the pasta aside.
  • Brown the Ground Beef:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper. Remove excess grease and set the beef aside.
  • Sauté the Aromatics:
In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and soft.
  • Create the Creamy Ranch Sauce:
Sprinkle ranch seasoning over the sautéed onions and garlic. Add the sour cream (or heavy cream) and whisk. Simmer for 2 minutes. Add sweet corn and mix well.
  • Combine the Pasta and Sauce:
Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together. If needed, add reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  • Melt the Cheese:
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the pasta. Cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
  • Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley or chives and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can adjust the consistency of the sauce by adding more pasta water if needed.
  • For a spicier version, consider adding red pepper flakes or a few dashes of hot sauce.
