Scale
- 1 pound pasta (penne, rotini, or similar)
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add pasta, milk, white cheddar, and mozzarella cheese. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer skillet to a preheated oven (375°F/190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until pasta is cooked through and cheese is melted and bubbly. Stir halfway through baking.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Feel free to use any pasta shape you prefer, but a sturdy one like penne or rotini works best for this dish.
- For extra flavor, consider adding herbs such as basil or thyme.
- If you like a crispy top, bake for a few extra minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
