Ingredients
Scale
12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 cups broccoli florets, steamed or blanched
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Cook the Tortellini: Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt, pepper, and optional Italian seasoning, and cook for about 6-8 minutes until the chicken is golden and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly.
Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked chicken and steamed broccoli to the skillet with the sauce. Stir to combine.
Add Tortellini: Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss everything together, making sure the tortellini is well coated with the creamy sauce.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
If you prefer a richer sauce, you can add more Parmesan or a bit of cream cheese.
For added flavor, you can sprinkle some red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
