Description

A rich and creamy pasta dish made with tender chicken, fresh broccoli, and a savory Parmesan sauce. Perfect for a comforting dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 oz penne or your favorite pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package directions until al dente. During the last 3 minutes of cooking, toss in the broccoli florets. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and butter together. Add the chicken strips and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is rich and creamy.
  6. Add the cooked pasta, broccoli, and chicken to the skillet. Toss everything together to coat in the sauce. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
  7. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes to ensure everything is heated through. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Add extra Parmesan cheese for a more cheesy flavor.
  • You can use other vegetables, like spinach or peas, instead of broccoli.
