- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small head of green cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
- Add the ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage, cooking until it begins to soften, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream, and stir in paprika, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef for a lighter version.
- To make the dish spicier, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
