Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 small head of green cabbage, chopped
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
Add the ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Stir in the chopped cabbage, cooking until it begins to soften, about 5-7 minutes.
Pour in the heavy cream, and stir in paprika, salt, and black pepper. Let simmer for another 5 minutes.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef for a lighter version.
To make the dish spicier, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
