This rich and creamy seafood bisque is loaded with succulent shrimp and tender crab meat, creating the ultimate comfort dish. Made with seafood stock, butter, and heavy cream, this restaurant-quality bisque is perfect for a cozy dinner or an elegant appetizer. Easy to make in just 30 minutes!

  1. 3 tablespoons butter

  2. 2 tablespoons chopped green onion

  3. 2 tablespoons chopped celery

  4. 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  5. 2 cups seafood stock

  6. 1 cup heavy cream

  7. 1 cup crab meat

  8. 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined

  9. Salt and pepper, to taste

  10. Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Sauté the Aromatics: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped green onions and celery and sauté until soft (about 3-4 minutes).

  • Make the Roux: Stir in the flour, cooking for about 2 minutes while stirring constantly.

  • Add the Liquid: Slowly pour in the seafood stock, stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Bring to a gentle simmer.

  • Incorporate the Cream & Seafood: Pour in the heavy cream, then add the crab meat and shrimp. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp is fully cooked.

 

  • Season & Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • You can adjust the consistency by adding more seafood stock or cream, depending on your preference.

 

  • For a richer flavor, consider using homemade seafood stock.
