3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons chopped green onion
2 tablespoons chopped celery
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups seafood stock
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup crab meat
1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Sauté the Aromatics: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped green onions and celery and sauté until soft (about 3-4 minutes).
Make the Roux: Stir in the flour, cooking for about 2 minutes while stirring constantly.
Add the Liquid: Slowly pour in the seafood stock, stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Bring to a gentle simmer.
Incorporate the Cream & Seafood: Pour in the heavy cream, then add the crab meat and shrimp. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp is fully cooked.
Season & Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
You can adjust the consistency by adding more seafood stock or cream, depending on your preference.
For a richer flavor, consider using homemade seafood stock.
