Description
Crispy, sweet air-fried apple wedges dusted with cinnamon sugar, served with a rich caramel whipped cream dipping sauce—a delightful treat that’s easy to make and enjoy!
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), sliced into wedges
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: extra caramel drizzle
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Toss the apple wedges with melted butter in a large bowl. In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the apples and coat evenly.
- Arrange the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the apples are tender and slightly crisp.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the caramel sauce and vanilla extract until combined.
- Serve the warm apple wedges with the caramel whipped cream dipping sauce on the side, and drizzle extra caramel on top if desired.
Notes
- For extra sweetness, you can drizzle more caramel over the apple wedges after they are cooked.
- Use any type of apple you prefer, though Honeycrisp and Granny Smith provide a good balance of sweet and tart flavors.
