Scale
- 2 large fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 can (8-count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
- Wrap each peach slice in a crescent dough triangle, rolling from the wide end to the tip. Place in the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Pour the mixture over the dumplings.
- Pour the soda around (not over) the dumplings in the dish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve warm, spooning some of the caramel sauce from the dish over the dumplings. Enjoy with a scoop of ice cream!
Notes
- You can use canned peaches if fresh peaches are unavailable. Just be sure to drain them well before using.
- Adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream enhances the dessert’s indulgence.
- For a different twist, you could sprinkle some chopped nuts on top before baking.
