  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup dry milk powder
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

Instructions

  • Whisk all ingredients together and store in an airtight mason jar (or any jar of your choice). This mix is good for at least 6 months.
  • To make gravy:
    • Melt 2 tablespoons of fat (butter, shortening, sausage fat, or bacon grease) in a saucepan over medium heat.
    • Add 3 tablespoons of gravy mix and cook for 3 minutes to make a roux.
    • Pour in 1 cup of water or milk (milk for a creamier gravy) and whisk until thickened.
    • Optional: Add browned sausage to the gravy to make sausage gravy.
  • Serve with your favorite dishes like mashed potatoes, biscuits, or rice and enjoy

  • This gravy mix can be stored in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
