These Cottage Cheese Protein Brownies are a healthy, high-protein treat that’s perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings. Made with low-fat cottage cheese, cocoa powder, and sweetened with honey or a sugar substitute, these brownies are a great guilt-free dessert option.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 cup cottage cheese (low-fat or fat-free)
  2. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  3. 1/4 cup honey or a sugar substitute (like Stevia) to taste
  4. 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  5. 2 large eggs
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  8. A pinch of salt
  9. Optional: chocolate chips or nuts for added texture

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, cocoa powder, honey (or sugar substitute), applesauce, eggs, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Blend everything together until smooth. You can use a blender or a hand mixer for a creamier texture.
  • If you want to add chocolate chips or nuts, fold them into the batter at this point.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for a few minutes before cutting them into squares.

Notes

  • For an extra indulgent touch, you can add a handful of chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter.

  • Ensure the brownies are completely cooled before cutting them for the best texture.
