Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cottage cheese (low-fat or fat-free)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup honey or a sugar substitute (like Stevia) to taste
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- Optional: chocolate chips or nuts for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, cocoa powder, honey (or sugar substitute), applesauce, eggs, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Blend everything together until smooth. You can use a blender or a hand mixer for a creamier texture.
- If you want to add chocolate chips or nuts, fold them into the batter at this point.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for a few minutes before cutting them into squares.
Notes
- For an extra indulgent touch, you can add a handful of chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter.
- Ensure the brownies are completely cooled before cutting them for the best texture.
