Ingredients

Scale
  1. 700 g potatoes, peeled and chopped into 3cm cubes

  2. 340 g tinned corned beef, cut into 1cm cubes

  3. 1 onion, finely chopped

  4. 2 tbsp sunflower oil

  5. 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (or Henderson’s Relish)

  6. Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the Potatoes:
Boil chopped potatoes until tender, then drain well.

  • Sauté the Onion:
Heat sunflower oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook for 5 minutes until softened.

  • Add the Corned Beef & Seasonings:
Add the boiled potatoes, corned beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Increase heat to high and cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are crispy.

  • Optional Extra Crispiness:
For an extra crispy texture, place the pan under a grill (broiler) for a few minutes until golden brown.

  • Serve & Enjoy:
Top with fried eggs for a complete meal

Notes

  • For a crispier corned beef hash, feel free to broil under a grill for a few minutes to get a golden-brown, crunchy finish.

  • Pairing this dish with a side of toast or a salad can help balance the meal.
