Description
Condensed Milk & Cinnamon Doughnut Puffs (Melktert Bombs) are soft, fried dough balls filled with a creamy custard and condensed milk filling, then rolled in cinnamon sugar for a sweet, warm treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Oil for frying
- ½ can condensed milk
- ½ cup custard (store-bought or homemade)
- Cinnamon sugar for coating
Instructions
- Mix the cake flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, milk, and melted butter into a soft dough.
- Roll the dough into small balls and deep fry them in hot oil until golden brown.
- In a separate bowl, mix the custard and condensed milk together to make the filling.
- Once the doughnuts are cooled, use a piping bag to pipe the custard and condensed milk mixture into the center of each doughnut.
- Roll the filled doughnuts in cinnamon sugar and serve warm.
Notes
- Ensure the oil is at the right temperature (about 350°F or 175°C) to avoid soggy doughnuts.
- For a creamier filling, you can add more condensed milk to the custard mixture if desired.
- These doughnuts are best served fresh and warm, as they will be at their crispiest and fluffiest.
