This hearty and comforting chicken and noodles recipe is a slow-cooked favorite, made with tender chicken, creamy soup, and egg noodles. Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners!
2 cans cream of chicken soup
2 cans chicken broth (15oz each)
1 stick butter or margarine
1 lb chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)
1 package frozen egg noodles (24 oz, such as Reames)
Prepare the Crockpot: Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
Add Liquids: Pour the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup over the chicken breasts. Add the stick of butter on top.
Cook: Cover the crockpot and set it on low for 6-7 hours.
Shred the Chicken: After the cooking time is complete, remove the chicken breasts and shred them with a fork. Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot.
Add Noodles: Stir in the frozen egg noodles and cook for an additional 2 hours on low. Stir every 30 minutes until the noodles are fully cooked and tender.
