A hearty and comforting dish of layers of lasagna noodles, rich marinara sauce, flavorful ground beef, and creamy cheese that will make everyone’s taste buds sing. Perfect for family dinners or special gatherings.

  1. 8 lasagna noodles
  2. 1 pound ground beef
  3. 1 onion, chopped
  4. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  5. 2 cups marinara sauce
  6. 1 cup ricotta cheese
  7. 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  8. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  9. Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook lasagna noodles al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara sauce, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan.
  • Assemble lasagna:
    • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
    • Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles.
    • Pour half of the remaining marinara sauce over the ricotta mixture.
    • Repeat the layers: noodles, ricotta mixture, and marinara sauce.
    • Top with the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

 

  • Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can add additional herbs like basil or oregano to the sauce for extra flavor.
  • To make this dish ahead of time, you can assemble the lasagna and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before baking.

 

  • If you prefer a vegetarian version, you can replace the ground beef with sautéed vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or zucchini.
