Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag (12 ounces) thick pretzel sticks
- ½ cup butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 egg white
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl on medium/low power, then let it cool slightly.
- Separate the egg white and yolk. Whisk the egg white and vanilla extract into the cooled butter. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together until evenly combined.
- Place the pretzel sticks in a one-gallon zip-top bag. Pour the butter mixture over them. Gently shake and mix to coat all the pretzels.
- Add the cinnamon sugar mixture to the bag. Shake and mix gently to coat the pretzels evenly.
- Spread the coated pretzels in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, stirring once halfway through baking.
- Remove the pretzels from the oven and stir immediately to prevent sticking. Let them cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Let the pretzels cool completely to allow the coating to set and crisp up.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
- For a variation, you can drizzle chocolate over the pretzels once they cool for an extra indulgent treat.
