- 3 egg yolks

- 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
- Gradually add milk and heavy cream, whisking until smooth.
- Place over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture starts to thicken and bubble.
- In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks. Slowly add a small amount of the hot mixture to temper the eggs.
- Return the egg mixture to the saucepan, stirring continuously for another 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add chopped chocolate and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
- Pour into serving dishes and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
