  • 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in 1 cup of the chocolate chips, reserving 1/4 cup for topping.
  6. Press the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the top and gently press them in.
  8. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice into sticks while still warm.
  10. Cool completely before serving.
