- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips, divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in 1 cup of the chocolate chips, reserving 1/4 cup for topping.
- Press the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick on the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the top and gently press them in.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice into sticks while still warm.
- Cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Use mini chocolate chips for a more even distribution.
- Try adding chopped nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a flavor boost.
