Description

This creamy and cheesy Chicken Crescent Casserole is the ultimate comfort food! With juicy chicken breasts, a creamy soup sauce, and warm, flaky crescent rolls, it’s the perfect dinner for busy nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  2. ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese

  3. ¼ cup milk

  4. 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  5. 2 tablespoons butter, melted

  6. ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  7. ⅓ cup onion, finely chopped

  8. 2 cooked, cubed chicken breasts

  9. ½ teaspoon salt

  10. ½ teaspoon pepper

  11. 1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough

  12. 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

  • In a saucepan, heat cream of chicken soup, ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese, and milk over medium heat until cheese melts. Set aside.

  • In a separate bowl, mix together cream cheese, melted butter, garlic powder, chopped onion, cubed chicken, salt, and pepper.

  • Spoon some of the soup mixture into the prepared baking dish to coat the bottom.

  • Place a small amount of the chicken mixture into each crescent roll, roll them up, and arrange them in the baking dish.

  • Pour the remaining soup mixture over the rolled-up crescent rolls, and top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken to save time.

  • Feel free to add more veggies such as peas or carrots for extra flavor and nutrition.

  • For a more golden crust, broil the casserole for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
