Description

A rich and comforting casserole made with shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, tater tots, and melted cheese. Perfect for a family meal with a delicious twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 1 jar (15 oz) Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the Alfredo sauce, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning (if using), and salt and pepper. Stir in the shredded chicken until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the chicken Alfredo mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. If you’re using bacon bits, you can mix them into the chicken or sprinkle them on top.
  4. Layer the frozen tater tots over the top of the chicken mixture, arranging them in an even layer.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the tater tots.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the tater tots are crispy and golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Let the casserole cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, mix in bacon bits or top with crumbled crispy bacon.
  • You can use rotisserie chicken for a quicker meal.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like peas or broccoli for added nutrition.
  • If you prefer a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the Alfredo sauce mixture.
