Description

Satisfy your cravings with our Cheeseburger Quesadilla! A delicious twist on a classic burger, packed with melted cheese and savory goodness. This innovative recipe combines all the flavors you love from a cheeseburger into a crispy, cheesy quesadilla that’s perfect for a quick meal or a fun snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Ground Beef

  • 1 lb ground beef

Cheddar Cheese

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Flour Tortillas

  • 4 large flour tortillas

Onion

  • 1 medium onion, diced

Pickles

  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced

Ketchup and Mustard

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat, then season with salt, pepper, and any other spices you prefer.
  2. Sauté the Onion: In the same skillet, add diced onion and cook until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  3. Assemble the Quesadilla: Lay a tortilla flat, sprinkle half with cheddar cheese, add a layer of the cooked beef, sautéed onions, and pickles, then top with more cheese before folding the tortilla in half.
  4. Cook the Quesadilla: Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place the folded quesadilla in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. Slice and Serve: Remove from the skillet, let it cool slightly, then slice into wedges and serve with ketchup and mustard on the side.

Notes

  • Don’t Overstuff: While it’s tempting to add more filling, overstuffing can make it hard to cook evenly.
  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh vegetables and quality cheese will elevate the overall flavor of your quesadilla.
  • Keep it Crispy: Make sure your skillet is hot enough to achieve that perfect crispy texture.
  • Experiment with Seasonings: Feel free to add garlic powder, paprika, or even taco seasoning for additional flavor.
  • Let it Rest: Allow your quesadilla to rest for a minute before cutting, which helps the cheese set slightly.
