Description

These Cheddar Bay Biscuits are a copycat of the beloved Red Lobster version, packed with cheesy, garlicky goodness. Perfectly fluffy on the inside and golden brown on the outside, they’re a must-try for any biscuit lover! The secret? A buttery finish and a sprinkle of fresh parsley. Perfect for dinner sides, brunch, or a snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 2 cups all-purpose flour

  2. 1 tablespoon baking powder

  3. 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  4. 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  5. 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt, divided

  6. 3/4 cup unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks), divided

  7. 1 cup whole milk

  8. 8 ounces shredded mild cheddar cheese

  9. 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 stick (1/2 cup) of butter in the microwave for 30 seconds or until fully melted. Set aside.

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt until well combined.

  • Add the melted butter and milk to the dry ingredients and whisk just until combined. Do not overmix.

  • Gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.

  • Drop heaping spoonfuls of the biscuit dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.

  • Meanwhile, melt the remaining 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) of butter in the microwave for 30 seconds.

  • Stir in the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and dried parsley.

  • Once the biscuits are done, brush the melted butter mixture on top of each biscuit. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an extra cheesy experience, feel free to add more cheddar to the dough or sprinkle extra cheese on top before baking.

  • You can freeze these biscuits before baking. Just freeze the unbaked dough on the baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer bag. When ready to bake, add a couple of extra minutes to the cooking time.
