Scale
Main Ingredients
- 6–8 fresh scallions, washed and trimmed
- 2 tablespoons chili crisp oil (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for charring scallions)
Instructions
- Prepare and Char the Scallions: Wash and trim the scallions. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Place the scallions directly on the pan surface, turning occasionally until blackened and softened in spots, about 5-7 minutes.
- Chop and Mix: Finely chop the charred scallions. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped scallions with minced garlic, Greek yogurt or sour cream, fresh lime juice, and chili crisp oil. Stir well until fully incorporated.
- Season and Adjust: Add salt and pepper to taste, balancing the heat and acidity. Stir again to evenly distribute flavors.
- Chill and Serve: Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh scallions for the best flavor and texture; avoid limp or wilted ones.
- Don’t rush the charring process; smoky spots enhance the flavor.
- Adjust chili crisp oil gradually to control the heat intensity.
- Choose high-quality chili crisp for a richer and crunchier dip.
- Allow the dip to rest chilled for more cohesive flavor.
