Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package Rhodes Cinnamon Roll Dough (do not use icing packets)
- 3.5 oz box cook & serve butterscotch pudding
- ½ cup pecans, chopped
- 8 Tbsp salted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp fresh orange zest
- Non-stick spray
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and orange zest. Cook until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
- Spray a baking pan with non-stick spray. Pour the caramel mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the caramel.
- Roll out the cinnamon roll dough and spread the cook & serve butterscotch pudding evenly over the surface.
- Roll the dough up tightly into a log and slice into individual rolls.
- Place the rolls on top of the caramel and pecans in the pan.
- Bake according to the package directions until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let the buns cool slightly, then invert the pan onto a serving plate so the caramel and pecans are on top.
- Serve warm and enjoy the gooey deliciousness!
Notes
- Use fresh orange zest for a bright citrus note that balances the sweetness.
- Allow rolls to rest for 5–10 minutes before inverting to avoid losing the sticky topping.
- Substitute walnuts if pecans aren’t available.
- Great for holiday breakfasts or weekend treats!
