Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package Rhodes Cinnamon Roll Dough (do not use icing packets)
  • 3.5 oz box cook & serve butterscotch pudding
  • ½ cup pecans, chopped
  • 8 Tbsp salted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp fresh orange zest
  • Non-stick spray

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and orange zest. Cook until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  2. Spray a baking pan with non-stick spray. Pour the caramel mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the caramel.
  3. Roll out the cinnamon roll dough and spread the cook & serve butterscotch pudding evenly over the surface.
  4. Roll the dough up tightly into a log and slice into individual rolls.
  5. Place the rolls on top of the caramel and pecans in the pan.
  6. Bake according to the package directions until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Let the buns cool slightly, then invert the pan onto a serving plate so the caramel and pecans are on top.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy the gooey deliciousness!

Notes

  • Use fresh orange zest for a bright citrus note that balances the sweetness.
  • Allow rolls to rest for 5–10 minutes before inverting to avoid losing the sticky topping.
  • Substitute walnuts if pecans aren’t available.
