Description
This refreshing Caprese Salad with Balsamic Glaze combines ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and aromatic basil, drizzled with a sweet and tangy balsamic glaze. Perfect for a quick and light summer meal!

- 3 ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 1 ball fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Arrange the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on a large plate, alternating and overlapping them.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the tomato and mozzarella slices.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey (if using), salt, and pepper until combined.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze mixture over the salad just before serving.
- Serve immediately or chill for 10 minutes before serving for enhanced flavors.
Notes
- If you prefer a sweeter glaze, you can add honey to the balsamic vinegar and olive oil mixture.
- Fresh mozzarella is ideal for this dish, but you can substitute it with regular mozzarella if needed.
