3 ripe tomatoes, sliced
1 ball fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Arrange the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese on a large plate, alternating and overlapping them.
Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the tomato and mozzarella slices.
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey (if using), salt, and pepper until combined.
Drizzle the balsamic glaze mixture over the salad just before serving.
Serve immediately or chill for 10 minutes before serving for enhanced flavors.
