Description

Juicy beef patties boosted with onion dip mix, stacked with creamy avocado, crisp lettuce, and tangy burger sauce—this California Burger is sun-drenched flavor in every bite! #CaliforniaBurger #BurgerLovers #GrillSeason #AvocadoBurger

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Patties

  • 1 pound (454 g) ground beef (80/20 or 90/10)
  • 1 ounce (28 g) packet onion dip mix
  • 2 tablespoons grated white onion
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Cheese slices (cheddar, American, or Monterey Jack)

Toppings

  • Brioche hamburger buns
  • Avocado slices
  • Green leaf lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion rings
  • Burger sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Mix the patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion dip mix, grated onion, salt, and pepper. Gently mix with your hands until just combined—don’t overwork it!
  2. Form patties: Shape the mixture into burger patties, pressing a slight indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Cook: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness. Add cheese slices during the last minute of cooking and let melt.
  4. Toast the buns: Toast brioche buns on the grill or in a pan for 1–2 minutes until lightly crisped and golden.
  5. Assemble: Layer the bottom bun with lettuce, burger patty, tomato, red onion, avocado, and burger sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve: Enjoy immediately while warm and juicy!

Notes

  • Try pepper jack or smoked gouda for a unique cheese twist.
  • Grill the avocado slices for a smoky flavor upgrade.
  • Make it spicy with jalapeños or a sriracha mayo spread.
