Ingredients
Scale
Beef Patties
- 1 pound (454 g) ground beef (80/20 or 90/10)
- 1 ounce (28 g) packet onion dip mix
- 2 tablespoons grated white onion
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Cheese slices (cheddar, American, or Monterey Jack)
Toppings
- Brioche hamburger buns
- Avocado slices
- Green leaf lettuce
- Tomato slices
- Red onion rings
- Burger sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Mix the patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion dip mix, grated onion, salt, and pepper. Gently mix with your hands until just combined—don’t overwork it!
- Form patties: Shape the mixture into burger patties, pressing a slight indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.
- Cook: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness. Add cheese slices during the last minute of cooking and let melt.
- Toast the buns: Toast brioche buns on the grill or in a pan for 1–2 minutes until lightly crisped and golden.
- Assemble: Layer the bottom bun with lettuce, burger patty, tomato, red onion, avocado, and burger sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve: Enjoy immediately while warm and juicy!
Notes
- Try pepper jack or smoked gouda for a unique cheese twist.
- Grill the avocado slices for a smoky flavor upgrade.
- Make it spicy with jalapeños or a sriracha mayo spread.
