Ingredients

Scale
  1. Steak Skewers:

    • 2 lbs steak (ribeye, New York strip, tri-tip, or sirloin)
    • 23 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 tbsp prepared Cajun seasoning (see below)

    Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce:

    • 8 tbsp (1 stick) butter
    • 810 cloves garlic, minced
    • ½ cup parmesan, grated
    • 1 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)
    • 12 tsp red pepper flakes
    • ¼ cup fresh parsley, minced
    • 1 tsp prepared Cajun seasoning

    Homemade Cajun Seasoning:

    1. 1 tbsp mild paprika
    2. 1 tsp salt
    3. 1½ tsp garlic powder
    4. 1 tsp onion powder
    5. 1 tsp chili powder
    6. ¾ tsp dried thyme
    7. ½ tsp dried oregano
    8. ½ tsp brown sugar
    9. ½ tsp cayenne pepper
    10. ¼ tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions

Marinate the Steak:

  1. Cut the steak into 2-inch pieces and place them in a bowl or zip-top bag.
  2. Add olive oil and enough Cajun seasoning to fully coat the steak.
  3. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for deeper flavor).
  4. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.

Prepare Garlic Parmesan Butter:

  1. Melt butter in a pan over low heat or in the microwave.
  2. Stir in garlic, Cajun seasoning, and grated parmesan, mixing until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in fresh parsley and hot sauce.

Cook the Skewers:

  1. Thread marinated steak pieces onto skewers, packing them closely together.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (if required).
  3. Baste both sides of the skewers with garlic parmesan butter.
  4. Place skewers in the air fryer basket in batches, cooking for 8-10 minutes, flipping once.
  5. Brush with additional butter sauce while cooking for extra flavor.
  6. Remove from the air fryer and baste one final time before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of hot sauce and red pepper flakes to taste.
  • These skewers can be served with your favorite dipping sauce or over a bed of rice or salad for a complete meal.

  • If you prefer a more charred flavor, you can cook the skewers on a grill after air frying.
