- 3 cups all-purpose/plain flour
- 185g butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups icing sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour and salt. Mix and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter and icing sugar until pale and creamy.
- Add the egg and beat for about 3 minutes.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract, then mix to combine.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix properly to form the cookie dough.
- Transfer the dough into piping bags fitted with different nozzles.
- Pipe the dough onto a greased and lined baking tray into desired shapes.
- Place the tray in the fridge and chill for 30 minutes to help the cookies retain their shape during baking.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) until the cookies are golden brown.

- You can decorate with sprinkles or dip half in melted chocolate for variation.
- Use unsalted butter for better flavor control.
