Description

This sweet and salty Bunny Bait snack mix is perfect for Easter celebrations or as a fun treat anytime. Made with Chex cereal, Cheerios, pretzels, M&M’s, peanuts, and coated in creamy white almond bark, it’s an easy no-bake recipe that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 2 cups Rice Chex cereal

  2. 2 cups plain Cheerios

  3. 2 cups mini pretzels

  4. 2 cups Easter M&M’s

  5. 12 cups peanuts (salted or unsalted)

  6. 1 (24-ounce) package white almond bark

Instructions

  • Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the Rice Chex cereal, Cheerios, mini pretzels, Easter M&M’s, and peanuts. Mix well.

  • Melt the Almond Bark: Break the white almond bark into pieces and melt it in a medium pot over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.

    • Microwave Option: Chop the almond bark into smaller pieces and place it in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth.

  • Coat the Mixture: Pour the melted almond bark over the cereal mixture and stir until evenly coated.

  • Set the Snack: Spread the mixture out onto wax paper or a parchment-lined baking sheet. Let set for 1 hour to harden.

  • Break and Serve: Once the mixture has hardened, break it into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • Storage: Store Bunny Bait in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

  • Customization: Feel free to switch out the peanuts for other nuts or add in some chocolate chips for extra sweetness.

  • Kids’ Activity: This recipe is fun for kids to help with! Let them mix the ingredients or decorate the mix with sprinkles or extra candy.
