These Breakfast Sausage Crescent Rolls are a simple yet irresistible recipe perfect for breakfast, brunch, or snacks! Made with flaky crescent rolls, savory sausage, and gooey mozzarella cheese, they’re ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. For the Crescent Rolls:
    • 1 pound bulk sausage
    • 1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
    • 2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese (or cheddar for extra flavor)

Instructions

. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Cook the Sausage:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain any excess grease and set aside.

3. Prepare Crescent Rolls:
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Lay them flat on a clean surface.

4. Stuff and Roll:

  • Place a spoonful of cooked sausage and shredded cheese on the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll the dough tightly from the wide end to the pointed tip, encasing the filling.

5. Arrange in Baking Dish:

  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and place the rolls seam-side down. Ensure they are snug but not overlapping.

6. Top with Cheese (Optional):
Sprinkle extra shredded cheese over the rolls for a gooey topping.

7. Bake:

  • Bake for 15–18 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

8. Serve:
Let the rolls cool for 5 minutes before serving. Perfect with coffee or tea!

Notes

  • Substitute mozzarella with cheddar for a sharper flavor.
  • Add diced bell peppers or cooked onions to the sausage for extra flavor.
  • Serve with a side of marinara or gravy for dipping!
