This Brazilian Coconut Pudding (Cocada Cremosa) is a luscious, creamy coconut dessert made with just 5 ingredients and ready in under 10 minutes. Ingredients

  1. 1 tablespoon butter
    1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
    8 oz (about 3 cups) unsweetened shredded or flaked coconut
    1 cup coconut milk
    ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine butter, sweetened condensed milk, shredded coconut, and coconut milk.

  • Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and starts to release from the bottom of the pan (about 8–10 minutes).

  • Stir in the heavy cream and remove from heat. The pudding will continue to thicken as it cools.

  • Pour into individual serving glasses or bowls.

 

  • Serve at room temperature or chilled, as preferred.

  • This dessert can be served either warm or chilled depending on preference.

 

  • The pudding thickens as it cools, so it’s important to let it set before serving.
