Description

These delicious Blueberry, Strawberry, and Carrot Balls are the perfect treat for your furry friend! Packed with natural ingredients like fresh fruits and veggies, these healthy homemade dog treats are easy to make and will keep your pup wagging their tail.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  2. 1/4 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped
  3. 1/4 cup grated carrots
  4. 1 cup rice flour (or any dog-safe flour)
  5. 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for added flavor)
  6. 1/4 cup water (add more if needed)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the rice flour and coconut oil (if using).
  • Add the Fruits and Veggies: Add the blueberries, chopped strawberries, and grated carrots to the mixture. Stir until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Form the Dough: Gradually add water, a little at a time, until the mixture forms a dough. The dough should be firm enough to hold its shape when rolled into balls.
  • Shape the Balls: Roll the dough into small balls, about the size of a tablespoon, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the balls are firm and slightly golden.
  • Cool and Serve: Allow the balls to cool completely on a wire rack before serving them to your dog.

Notes

  • These treats are best stored in an airtight container. They will last for up to a week at room temperature.
  • For longer storage, you can freeze the treats for up to 3 months.
  • Be sure to adjust the size of the balls based on the size of your dog. Larger dogs may enjoy bigger treats, while smaller dogs might prefer smaller ones.
  • You can substitute rice flour with other dog-safe flours like oat flour or coconut flour if preferred.
