This Blooming Onion Sauce is a creamy, zesty, and slightly spicy dipping sauce that pairs perfectly with a crispy blooming onion, fries, onion rings, or chicken tenders. It’s quick to make and enhances any appetizer with its bold flavors!

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup mayonnaise
  2. 2 tablespoons ketchup
  3. 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  4. ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  5. ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  6. ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  7. ½ teaspoon onion powder
  8. ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra spice)
  9. ½ teaspoon salt
  10. ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  11. 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for tanginess)

Instructions

  • Mix the Base:
    In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, and Worcestershire sauce.

  • Add the Seasonings:
    Stir in smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

  • Blend & Chill:
    Mix well until fully combined. Add lemon juice if using and stir again.

 

  • Refrigerate:
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.

Notes

  • This sauce is perfect for pairing with blooming onions, fries, onion rings, or chicken tenders.
  • For a milder version, omit the cayenne pepper.

 

  • You can also add extra lemon juice for additional tanginess.
