A refreshing and simple dessert, this Big Boy’s Fresh Strawberry Pie combines the sweetness of ripe strawberries with a delicious homemade strawberry jelly filling. Perfect for summer gatherings, holidays, or any occasion

  1. 1 frozen pie crust
  2. 1 1/4 cups sugar
  3. 3 tbsp cornstarch
  4. 1 1/4 cups water
  5. 3 tbsp strawberry jelly
  6. 2 cups strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  • Bake Pie Crust:
    Bake the frozen pie crust according to the package directions. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 30 minutes.

  • Prepare Jelly Mixture:
    In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, until the mixture thickens.

  • Add Strawberry Jelly:
    Whisk in the strawberry jelly and remove from heat. Set aside to cool.

  • Assemble the Pie:
    Once the pie crust has cooled, add the sliced strawberries into the crust. Pour the cooled strawberry jelly mixture over the strawberries.

  • Refrigerate:
    Refrigerate the pie for a few hours until set.
