Description

  6. 1 egg

  7. 3 tablespoons melted butter or oil

  8. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract


Instructions

  • Make the batter:

    • Mix together the wet ingredients (milk, egg, melted butter or oil, vanilla extract) in a bowl.

    • Sift in the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, sugar) and stir until just combined. It’s okay if there are some lumps.

  • Cook the pancakes:

    • Heat a pan over medium-high heat and grease it with butter or oil.

    • Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the pan.

    • Cook for about 2 minutes, or until bubbles form on the surface and the edges are set.

    • Flip the pancake and cook for another minute, or until golden brown.

Notes

  • If the batter feels too thick, gradually add milk to reach your desired consistency.

  • Make sure to not over-mix the batter, as this can result in dense pancakes.

 

  • You can keep cooked pancakes warm by placing them on a baking sheet in the oven at 200°F (93°C).
