Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen Cookies OR 2 bags Vanilla Wafers
  • 6 to 8 bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (5 oz.) box French Vanilla pudding
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed (or equal amount sweetened whipped cream)

Instructions

  • Layer the Base: Line the bottom of a 13×9-inch dish with one bag of cookies and layer sliced bananas on top.
  • Make the Pudding: In a medium bowl, combine milk and pudding mix. Blend well using an electric mixer.
  • Prepare the Cream: In another bowl, beat cream cheese and condensed milk together until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping.
  • Combine and Layer: Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding and stir until fully blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas in the dish.
  • Finish with Cookies: Top with the remaining cookies.
  • Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or until set) before serving

Notes

  • Make Ahead Tip: This dessert tastes even better when made the day before to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Substitute vanilla wafers for Chessmen cookies if desired for a more classic flavor.
  • Add a touch of cinnamon for extra warmth
