Description

These Beef Tenderloin Crostini with Parmesan Cream Sauce are the perfect appetizer for any gathering! Tender beef, perfectly seared, topped with a rich Parmesan cream sauce and served on crispy toasted baguette slices. A crowd-pleaser that combines savory flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 baguette, sliced and toasted
  2. 1 pound beef tenderloin, thinly sliced
  3. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  4. Salt and pepper, to taste
  5. 1 cup heavy cream
  6. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  7. 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  8. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  9. 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Toast the Baguette: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Sear the Beef: Season beef tenderloin slices with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat, add the beef slices, and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, sautéing until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and thyme. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Assemble: Place a slice of beef on each toasted baguette slice. Spoon a generous amount of Parmesan cream sauce over the beef. Garnish with additional thyme if desired.

Notes

  • You can use a different type of bread if preferred, but baguette works best for a crispy texture.
  • For extra richness, add a touch of white wine to the sauce while it thickens.
  • This can be made ahead of time: prepare the crostini and sauce separately and assemble just before serving.
