Description

These Beef-Stuffed Shells with Creamy Ricotta Filling are a delicious and comforting meal perfect for family dinners or special occasions. With a combination of hearty beef, creamy ricotta, and melty mozzarella, this dish is sure to be a hit

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 12 jumbo pasta shells

  2. 1 lb ground beef

  3. 1 cup ricotta cheese

  4. 1 cup marinara sauce

  5. 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  6. 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

  7. 1 egg

  8. 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  9. Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions. Drain and let them cool slightly.

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Once fully cooked, drain any excess fat and stir in the marinara sauce. Remove from heat.

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, stirring until smooth.

  • Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the ricotta mixture, and place the filled shells in a baking dish.

  • Spoon the beef and marinara sauce mixture over the stuffed shells. Sprinkle the mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly on top.

  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can add a sprinkle of fresh basil or parsley for extra flavor and garnish.

  • For extra creaminess, mix a little bit of heavy cream or sour cream into the ricotta mixture.
