Ingredients

Scale
  1. For the Soup:

    • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
    • 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
    • 1 daikon radish, peeled and sliced
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 6 cups beef broth
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions

  • Sauté: In a large pot, sauté onion and garlic over medium heat until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  • Add Broth: Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
  • Simmer: Add the carrots and daikon radish. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
  • Add Beef: Add the sliced beef to the pot and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the beef is just cooked through.
  • Season: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish and Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and serve hot.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute the daikon radish with regular radishes if needed.
  • If you prefer a richer flavor, add a splash of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce to taste.
