This quick and flavorful Beef and Cabbage Stir-Fry is a perfect weeknight dinner, featuring tender beef, crisp cabbage, and a savory sauce. Serve it with steamed rice for a delicious, high-protein meal!

  1. 1 lb beef (sirloin, flank steak, or other tender cut), thinly sliced

  2. ½ head cabbage, chopped into 1-inch pieces

  3. 1 small onion, sliced

  4. 3 cloves garlic, minced

  5. 1 tbsp vegetable oil or sesame oil

  6. 3 tbsp soy sauce, divided

  7. 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  8. 1 tbsp cornstarch

  9. 1 tsp sesame oil

  10. Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Marinate the Beef:
    In a bowl, combine the beef, 1 tbsp soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.

  • Cook the Beef:
    Heat vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  • Cook the Vegetables:
    In the same pan, add onion and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the cabbage and stir-fry for 5 minutes, until softened.

  • Combine Everything:
    Return the beef to the pan. Add remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until everything is well coated.

 

  • Serve & Enjoy:
    Serve hot over steamed rice.

Notes

  • You can use any tender cut of beef, such as sirloin or flank steak, for this recipe.

 

  • Adjust the amount of soy sauce and oyster sauce to taste if you prefer more or less seasoning.
