Ingredients

Scale
  1. For the Brisket:

    • 2 lbs beef brisket, trimmed
    • 1 cup BBQ sauce
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

    For the Mashed Potatoes:

    • 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    For the Bowl:

    1. 1 cup cooked green beans
    2. Chopped chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brisket: In a bowl, combine the brisket with BBQ sauce, olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

  2. Cook the Brisket: Grill or smoke the brisket using your preferred method until it is tender and easily shredded. Shred the brisket once it’s cooked.

  3. Make the Mashed Potatoes: Boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with milk and butter until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Assemble the Bowls: Divide the mashed potatoes and green beans between bowls. Top with the shredded brisket and garnish with chopped chives.

Notes

  • For best results, marinate the brisket for at least 1-2 hours to enhance the flavor.
  • You can use store-bought BBQ sauce or make your own for a custom taste.
