Ingredients
Scale
-
For the Chicken:
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into thirds)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp seasoned salt (like Lawry’s)
- 3/4 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 stick butter (1/4 cup)
- Buttermilk (enough to soak chicken)
Instructions
- Soak the Chicken:
Soak the chicken strips in buttermilk for 20–30 minutes in the fridge. - Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F. - Prepare the Flour Mixture:
In a large Ziploc bag or bowl, mix the flour, salt, seasoned salt, pepper, and paprika. - Prepare the Pan:
Melt the butter in a 9×13-inch pan in the preheated oven, swirling it around to coat the bottom of the pan. - Coat the Chicken:
Shake off any excess buttermilk from each chicken piece, then coat it in the flour mixture. - Bake the Chicken:
Arrange the chicken pieces in the prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes, flip each piece, and bake for another 20 minutes or until fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 170°F).
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can broil the chicken for the last 2–3 minutes of baking.
- Ensure that the chicken pieces are evenly coated in the flour mixture to get that perfect crisp!
