This Baked Berry French Toast is the perfect make-ahead breakfast! Soft, custardy bread baked with juicy strawberries and blueberries, finished with a dusting of icing sugar. It’s a simple yet delightful dish for a cozy morning. Serve warm and enjoy a flavorful start to your day!

Ingredients

  1. 5 slices bread, cubed
  2. 1 cup milk
  3. 4 tbsp granulated sugar
  4. 1 egg
  5. 3 tbsp butter
  6. ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  7. ½ cup strawberries, sliced
  8. ¼ cup blueberries
  9. Icing sugar, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven: Set to 180°C (350°F).
  • Prepare the custard mixture: In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, egg, cinnamon powder, and butter. Heat over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
  • Assemble the dish: Place the bread cubes in a greased baking dish. Pour the warm milk mixture evenly over the bread. Sprinkle with strawberries and blueberries.
  • Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and set.

 

  • Cool and serve: Let cool slightly before dusting with icing sugar. Serve warm and enjoy!
