Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
1 large shallot or small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
½ tbsp gluten-free Worcestershire sauce (approx. 8 shakes)
1 tsp + dash homemade seasoned salt
Ground black pepper, to taste
1½ cups chicken or beef broth
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (15 oz) can petite diced tomatoes
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 bay leaf

Instructions
Heat a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, shallot, and garlic. Break up the beef as it cooks. Season with Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned. Drain if necessary and return to the skillet. Add the seasoned salt, broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and bay leaf. Turn heat to high and bring to a simmer. Lower heat to medium-low and let simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add uncooked elbow noodles and continue to simmer, stirring frequently, for 12-14 minutes until noodles are tender. Lower heat slightly near the end to keep a gentle simmer. Remove bay leaf and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve hot.
Notes
This dish can be made gluten-free by using gluten-free elbow noodles. Add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor.
