Description

These Air Fryer Churro Apple Pie Bombs are a delicious, warm, and crispy treat! Filled with sweet apple pie filling and coated in cinnamon sugar, they are the perfect indulgence. Make these bite-sized treats in your air fryer for a quick and easy dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 cup apple pie filling
  2. 1 can Grands canned biscuits
  3. 1/2 cup butter
  4. 3/4 cup sugar
  5. 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Cut the apple pie filling into small pieces using a knife and fork.
  • Separate the biscuits and pull each into 2 layers. Roll them out into a 4-inch circle with a rolling pin or flatten with your fingers.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Spoon apple pie filling onto each dough circle, then pull the sides together and pinch to seal. Roll into balls.
  • Place the apple pie bombs into the air fryer basket, about 2 inches apart. Cook in batches, depending on your air fryer size.
  • Cook for 8 minutes or until golden brown.
  • While the first batch bakes, melt the butter.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon.
  • Once cooked, dip each apple pie bomb into the melted butter on all sides, letting any excess drip off.
  • Roll the bombs in the cinnamon sugar mixture and place on a wire rack.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.
  • Serve immediately or at room temperature.

Notes

  • You can use store-bought apple pie filling or make your own. If you prefer a lighter option, try using a sugar substitute or reducing the amount of sugar in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • These are best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat
