These crispy and caramelized Oven Fried Potatoes & Onions are the perfect side dish to complement any meal! Simple to make and packed with flavor, theyโ€™re sure to become a favorite in your kitchen.

Ingredients

  1. Potatoes: Peeled and sliced into thin pieces or wedges
  2. Onions: Sliced into rings or half-moons
  3. Olive Oil: For coating the potatoes and onions
  4. Salt and Pepper: For seasoning
  5. Optional Herbs and Spices: Such as paprika, garlic powder, or rosemary for extra flavor

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) to ensure the potatoes get crispy.

  • Prepare the Potatoes and Onions:
Toss the sliced potatoes and onions with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional herbs or spices (such as paprika, garlic powder, or rosemary).

  • Arrange on a Baking Sheet:
Spread the potato and onion mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet. Make sure theyโ€™re not overcrowded to allow them to crisp evenly.

  • Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-35 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crispy, and the onions are caramelized. Flip the potatoes halfway through for even crispiness.

Notes

  • You can use russet, Yukon gold, or red potatoes depending on your texture preference.
  • For extra crispiness, you can spray a bit of olive oil on top of the potatoes halfway through baking.

  • Add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese just before serving for extra flavor.
